Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Champions KO Finder at kofinder.dev ("the site", "we", "us"). Questions: contact@kofinder.dev.
The short version
- There are no accounts, and we never ask for your name, email or anything else about you.
- Your settings are saved in your own browser and are never sent to us.
- Our host, Cloudflare, handles the network traffic that every website receives.
- Google shows ads on the site and may use cookies to do so. Where the law requires it, you are asked first.
Information saved on your device
The KO Finder remembers the Pokémon, sets, field conditions and filters you last used, so they are still there when
you come back. This is stored in your browser's local storage under the key champions-ko-finder:v2. It
stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your
browser settings.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and uses it to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this information to identify you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The fonts and images the site uses are served from our own domain, not from third-party font or image services.
Advertising
The site shows ads provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's My Ad Center.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices (or www.youronlinechoices.eu in Europe).
- Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided through Google, before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy settings link at the bottom of the KO Finder (shown to visitors in those regions). If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads.
Visitors in US states with privacy laws (such as California) can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising through the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" message or link that Google shows where it applies.
Links to other sites
Some links open other websites, such as the open-source projects credited on the site. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Who is responsible, and on what basis
Champions KO Finder is run by an individual (not a company), who is responsible for this site and can be reached at contact@kofinder.dev. Google is responsible for its own use of advertising data, as described in its policies linked above. Where data protection law such as the GDPR or UK GDPR applies:
- Hosting and security logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interests (running the site and protecting it from abuse).
- Settings saved in your browser are strictly necessary for the feature you use and never leave your device.
- Advertising cookies and personalised ads rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time as described above.
Children
The site is a general-audience tool for competitive players and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
We do not hold personal information about you ourselves, so in most cases there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Choices about advertising data can be made through Google using the links above. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR) you have rights over your personal data, and you can contact us about them at contact@kofinder.dev. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
